Mulberry Bush Montessori Balfron 10K
The race takes place on Sunday 28th April 2013 at 11am - this is a rural road 10k on an undulating route.
First run in 2007 (as the Co-operative Balfron 10k), this event has proved extremely popular with runners of all abilities. The officially measured course, chip-timing, winners prizes and professional organisation appeal to the most serious runners, whilst the friendly atmosphere, traffic-free route and excellent goody bags including commemorative medal and T-shirt make it a great race for the more casual runner and even first-time 10k-er.
There will be various stalls and entertainment for spectators, as well as an excellent café, so feel free to bring support with you.
Online entries are now open at www.balfron10k.org.uk
All proceeds raised from this event are being donated to the local primary and secondary schools and CHAS the Scottish Childrens Hospice charity.

The race starts and finishes just outside the village of Comrie in Perthshire, and the route follows quiet roads through the beautiful scenery of Strathearn, with about 1500 feet of ascent over the length of the course.

VESTS
Consensus appears to be that the new/old "retro" vests are the way to go.
The club would therefore propose placing an order for more. It would
be expected that the vests would then be sold on at cost to members.
Sadly, we cant really keep a large stock of these, so we would propose
to simply order what was required (maybe a few extra of each).
If you want one of these vests then either email the club OR tell
Stuart – But please don't simply shout out "I want a vest" as you whiz
by on a Tuesday run – give him a chance to note your order down.
Vests come in Ladies or Gents S/M/L sizes.
Please get your request in by Thursday 14th February, stating how many
and what size (order will be placed the following day). The vests will
then have to be "badged up" but we would hope to get them in time for
Spring races.
If you absolutely must have an old style green diagonal stripe vest
then please let us know.
