Club Championship Races 2012 - provisional results

The Club Championship results for 2012 have now been compiled and the provisional results can now be viewed on the Club Championship page and then clicking on the link to the latest results.

As stated, the results are provisional - could all club members please check their entries and let Brian know if there are any omissions or discrepancies.

Black Bun Run

Just a reminder that the annual mile and a half dash will be taking place as always at 7:00pm on Hogmanay. 

 

The start and finish point is just opposite The Feathers (formerly The Masons Arms), where we will convene afterwards for a drink or two.

 

Family and friends are very welcome to take part (including juniors).

Devilla Forest 15 Trail Race 2013

"The 2nd Devilla Forest 15 trail race takes place on Sunday 24th
February. As last year's race was so successful we've made very few
changes to the event for next year. It is important to note however
that entry is by online only and entries open on 2nd January via the

Forfar Multi Terrain Half Marathon

The Forfar Multi Terrain 1/2 marathon takes place on Sunday 3rd
February 2013 at 11am.

Please note that entry limit is 250 and that there will be no waiting
list and no entries on the day, so when the event is full, that is it
for 2013!

Portobello Promathon 1/1/13

SHOCK NEWS.
The New Years Day Promathon has been "capped" and is now pre-entry.
If you want to start your year with a race get your enties in PDQ.......

"Would appreciate it if through your email lists/ club websites the below
could be made known.
We don't want people turning up on the day as they have for the last 24
years and not being able to complete.

Only 10 days to go and entries will now start filling up.

Glasgow University 5 Mile Road Race

Calling all runners!

We are excited to announce that the Glasgow University Road Race will
once again be hosted by the Hares and Hounds at Garscube Sports
Complex on Saturday December 1st 2012.

The course covers 5 miles of road and trail around Garscube Sports
Complex and has attracted hundreds of runners in previous years. The
event will include prizes, awarded by Sweatshop for top finishers.
Food and drink is also available at the venue.

Anne's 50th party

Congratulations to Anne who celebrated her 50th birthday with friends on Saturday night. A great time was had by all, including these two male Dunbar Club runners whose Hi NRG dancefloor tomfoolery should not go unappreciated.

GOATS GALLOP - 25th November 10:30

Have you done the Goats Gallop before?

“Yes” – well then, you’ll obviously want to do it again.

“No – Why ever not?? Get that situation sorted…

HELP have once again extended an invite for us to take part in the Goats Gallop. This run has it all… hills (both up and down), roads and paths. The route goes from Longyester, up Lammer Law, down by Hopes Reservoir then a fast road section back.

The run starts and ends at Longyester at 10:30.

Highly recommended.
