Coast Along
My name's Paul Davidson and I'm a WaterAid volunteer in Scottish
Water. I'm writing to you to see if you're running group would be
interested in pledging your support to this years Coast Along for
WaterAid.
Coast Along aims to have teams of walkers or runners on all sections
of coastal path included in the event on Saturday 11th September 2010.
This year we need the support of even more walkers, ramblers and
runners to achieve our challenge: to get at least one team on all 187
sections of selected coastal paths throughout England, Wales and
Scotland to raise money for WaterAid. This is the fourth year of Coast
Along but the first time Scottish paths have been included in the
event, the Fife Coastal Path and the John Muir Way in East Lothian.
Fourteen regions in the UK have been divided into 187 sections of
between four and 15 miles in length. Each section is graded as easy,
moderate, strenuous or severe, so you can choose a path that suits
your level of fitness. There is something for everybody: for families,
ramblers, long-distance walkers and even marathon runners.
If you would like to discuss or need more information please click on
the web link below or alternatively contact me via e-mail or on
07875872299.
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

CARFRAEMILL to GIFFORD - Wed 18th August.
For anyone unaware of this event it’s a 10 mile route that goes from, as the name suggests, from Carfraemill through and over the Lammermuirs to Gifford (its honestly not that tough a course). The course is mainly on quiet roads, though a small section does go onto footpaths.
A bus takes the runners from Gifford to the start line. It’s not a race - it’s more a sort of mass club run.
The bus leaves the Goblin Ha at 6:30pm to take the runners to the start for 7:00pm.
We have to let HELP know how many of us from Dunbar are going, so please let Stuart or Anne know if you want to go by 6th August.
