I took some photos at both the races and you can access them on my Flickr pages at:

I didn't get everyone, so take it that you were going so fast, it was just a blur if you're not included here.

MUSSELBURGH
The Musselburgh Festival Race (26th July) has changed it's start time and venue.
It is now, also, a full 10K rather than simply 6 miles.
Details can be found at Musselburgh's web site http://www.musselburghac.com/
Please remember this is one of our championship races.

Dunbar V Wagga
As mentioned. Dunbar has been invited to a race....
...with a difference.
A 10k is to be held between Dunbar Running Club and Wagga Wagga Road Runners this Saturday.
Don't worry you don't have to go to Australia (though they could come over here if they fancy it).
We will run our "part" of the race (the Boundary course) this Saturday from Hallhill (start at 11am). Wagga will run a 10k over there (at a time more suitable to them obviously).
Then, thanks to the wonders of the Internet, the results will be merged and compared.

CLUB SUMMER OUTING
As members may be aware, it had been hoped to get a bus to go to the Northumberland Costal Run.
However, the huge popularity of this event has seen it fully subscribed and few members have managed to get a place.
Which leaves "us" with a dilemma (this being the "royal" "us" i.e. the committee). Where should we go for a day out?
We need to act quickly.
Three possible choices that may be worth considering are:
1) The Heart Of The Park Challenge in Braemar on 13th July. This is a 12km multi terrain/mud fest type race. Details here: http://www.pjwells.uklinux.net/
2) 15km Trail Race in Kielder Forest, Northumberland on 20th July http://www.allterrainevents.com/
3) The Famous Grouse 10k in Crieff on 13th July. A multi terrain 10k route with a bit of a climb. http://www.strathearnharriers.org.uk/Crieff10k.htm
Note that none of these events are included in, or will count as, championship races. They are just there for the fun of it.
Please email your preference (if any) to dunbar.running@gmail.com by Friday 23rd May and we will get the ball rolling.
We will book the bus. We will book somewhere to eat. But it will be up to the individual members to enter the race.
