Fun at the Fling

Just a wee note to mention that the Club was represented at the Highland Fling in fine fashion by Jamie and Lee today.

I have no idea what the times are, but quite frankly, after 53 miles and 6,000 feet of up and down then who gives a monkeys.

Hopefully attached is a pic of the guys picking up the "Club nearest Dunbar" award to tumultuous applause.

Musselburgh 10K

 The annual 10k race takes place on Saturday 19 July.
The senior's race will start at 10.30am - it's chip timed and it's a fast, flat course so plenty of PB potential! The entry fees are £13, or £11 to Scottish Athletics members.
There is also a junior fun run, which is free to enter.
The 10k sold out quickly last year, so entries should be made sooner rather than later to avoid missing out!

Penicuik 10K Road Race

The Penicuik Harriers 10K road race will take place on Saturday 10th May 2014 at 2.15pm.

Enter now at EntryCentral

  • Online entries close on May 8th
  • Declarations and on-the-day entries open at noon and close at 1:30pm
  • Pre-entry fee £9 (affiliated) or £11 (non-affiliated)
  • Entry on the day £12 (affiliated) or £14 (non-affiliated), but places limited
  • Prizes to major category winners
  • Teams: First 3 seniors to finish per club
  • Under UK Athletics rules
  • Scottish Athletics Permit event
  • Memento for first 220 runners
  • Please Note: No headphones/earphones/ipods etc permitted during race
  • Post race refreshments, home baking & prize-giving at Penicuik High School
  • Athletes must be aged 17 on or before 31st August 2014

DUNBAR 10K RACE. PROVISIONAL RESULTS

Dunbar 10K and Family Fun Run

Please note that the entries for the 2014 Dunbar 10k Race (05 April 2014 at 11:00am) are now closed.

**Parking**
Please be aware that the car park at Hallhill fills up very quickly and will not be able to accommodate all runners.  There is car parking on Countess Road (go along Spott Road from the A1, under the railway bridge and left at the road end, then left after the zebra crossing and straight on - the other Hallhill entrance is next to the fire station), as well as a car park off Countess Road, almost opposite the fire station.  Please be considerate when parking as Traffic Wardens will issue fines.
 
There will also be a Family Fun Run of 3K which will take place on the same day at 10:00am, also starting and finishing at Hallhill Sports Centre.  Entries for the 3K are on the day only and not pre-entry - £3 per entrant.
