Dear Runner,
I would like to invite you to take part in the annual Edinburgh University 'KB' 5 Mile Road Race. The race follows a scenic and undulating route round the streets of South Edinburgh, starting and finishing in the Kings Buildings Campus of the University. The race is always popular with local runners and is a great way to dust off the cobwebs before the start of the 10k and half-marathon season! All participants must be over 15 years old on the day of the race. There are changing and showering facilities in KB House where refreshments will be also be available.
The presentation will take place in KB House as soon as possible after the race. The prize list includes individual, team and category prizes thanks to our sponsors Run and Become. .

National Masters Cross Country Championship
National Masters Cross Country Championship
Any club members over the age of 35 are elligable to enter this excellant event. This years race is at Irvine again and starts at 1.00 (Women) and 1.45 (Men). 3 women make up a team but 4 are required for a mens team.
If you would like to enter then you can contact Ian Rowland with your date of birth and saf number by 22nd January at the absolute latest !
Borders Cross-Country - 4th Round
Sunday saw the 4th race in the Borders Cross-Country Series taking place in Dunbar on a gusty day which tested the runners as they faced the wind head-on over several sections of the course.
Sixty nine juniors braved the conditions with Dunbar's Alex Noble taking 4th place in 13:35, with club mate Cameron Law finishing in 14:46 and Bruce Lindsay just behind in 15:00. Other Dunbar runners putting in an excellent effort were Campbell Patterson 15:10, Joseph Kowbel 17:28, Cory Smith 17:38, Greg Noble 17:44, Joanne Lindsay 18:11, Isabelle Taylor 19:06, Katrina Maguire 21:57, Danny Munroe 22:34, Rebecca Turner 23:59 and Ruth Kowbel 24:00.
The senior race saw Andrew Crichton having another excellent race after competing at Holyrood the day before, taking 2nd place in 27:47. Also braving the conditions were Grant Noble 29:44, George Gilhooley 31:36, Ross Combe 33:18, Richard Taylor 33:33, Rhona Anderson 34:33, Steve Pattison 36:52, Mary Pattison 41:34 and Jamie Cherrie 46:54.

Annual Dinner
The annual dinner will be held at the Longniddry Inn on Friday 6th February at 7:00 sharp. The price is £17.95 for 3 courses. All club members and their partners are invited but please let Anne know as soon as possible if you wish to attend as definite numbers will be needed before the night.
If enough people require transport on the night (leaving from Dunbar) a bus will be ordered at £2 per head (payable in advance). Again, please let Anne know as soon as possible if you require transport so that this can be booked.
